Background
A £3.2m extension at Gwersyllt CP was delivered, which enabled the infant and junior buildings to be merged onto one site.
The works were funded by the Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools fund which was match-funded by Wrexham Council.
The sizable extension to the Community Primary School in Gwersyllt, enabled the school to join its separate infant and junior buildings onto a single site.
The new build consisted of a flexible learning zone, which is designed to meet the needs of the new Curriculum for Wales and the Digital Competence Framework.
There is a state-of-the-art wireless audio-visual system, which will allow teachers and pupils to collaborate on multiple devices and platforms on any screen across the school.

•Ventilation: Heat recovery units, natural ventilation in new classrooms, and extract ventilation in toilets
•Air Quality: Air handling unit installed on the new extension roof
•Sanitation: Updated sanitaryware in all toilets and kitchen sinks in classrooms
